Banana Chocolate Mug Cake | Mug Cake Recipe is an instant version of cake that is made in microwave in 2 minutes when you want to satisfy your sudden sweet cravings.

Make this easy microwave mug cake recipe with easily available ingredients for a quick chocolate fix. It tastes even more delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

This banana chocolate mug cake recipe has no egg. It is one of the easiest cake recipe you’ll ever try. I assure you’ll never make another mug cake again after you try this recipe!

This quick chocolaty treat is truly decadent and great for times when I need a yummy dessert that is ready in less than 5 minutes! Chocolate chips make this recipe even more better with scoop of chilled vanilla ice cream.

Banana Chocolate Mug Cake | Mug Cake Recipe

 

Step by step instructions and pictorial presentation to make mug cake

Peel and mash banana with a fork in a large wide mug. Mix castor sugar, vanilla essence and beat well.

In a separate bowl, mix together refined flour, baking powder, pinch of salt and cocoa powder. Mix this with banana mixture.

Thereafter to this add  ¼ cup chocolate chips and oil and mix well. To this add milk and mix well. Top it with 2 tablespoons chocolate chips.

Preheat microwave for 1 minute.

Place a paper towel underneath the mug into the microwave so as to catch any spills of batter if mug cake overflows.

Micro high the mug cake on full power for 2 minutes. Remove and check with toothpick inserted.

Please note that each microwave is different, therefore settings may vary and it can yield different results. So keep a close watch after 2 minutes.

While serving top with vanilla ice cream scoop, drizzle chocolate sauce and sprinkle some more chocolate chips. Dust icing sugar over it, and serve warm.
