Eggless Whole wheat Chocolate Brownies

Eggless Whole wheat Chocolate Brownies are sweet & tangy, easy to make, contain goodness of oats and ragi/finger millet and above all it’s egg free too.

Nothing satisfies a sweet tooth craving like a rich chocolate dessert. My all time favourite Sweet potato brownies always takes the top spot.

This homemade wholewheat chocolate eggless chocolate brownie recipe is so easy that even a novice can make. It’s just mix everything together and bake.

Brownies made with easily available ingredients

This recipe doesn’t call for any fancy ingredients that you have to go shopping for.

The only thing you keep in mind is to use good quality of cocoa powder, as the final colour of the brownies depends on the colour of cocoa powder used.

Texture of these Brownies

I have used wholewheat, oats and ragi/finger millet in this recipe, as since long time I wanted to experiment with some different flours for making brownies.

The only issue I faced here was the dense texture as I used heavier flours. But let me assure you that you really can’t taste all the flours used in this but there’s a nutty and very slight chewy taste.

These Brownies are soft, moist and resembles like cake but different from regular brownies. This time I haven’t added any walnuts or any other nuts into this.

Why eggless brownies?

It’s really makes me happy & exciting to experiment now and then using different flours, and go eggless.

I always love to bake Brownie that uses eggs but however this time somehow I decided to go egg free with these Brownies. And I must tell you these doesn’t disappointed me.

Instructions to make Eggless Whole wheat Chocolate Brownies

Preheat oven for 10 minutes at 180° C.

For wet ingredients:

In a bowl put curds, sugar, melted butter, vanilla essence and mix nicely until sugar is dissolved.

For dry ingredients:

Now sieve all the dry ingredients and put it into wet ingredients and mix nicely… don’t over mix it.

Pour the mixture into the tray lined with parchment paper and sprinkle choco chips and cranberries.

Bake for 15-20 min in a 180°C preheated oven .

Check it with by inserting a toothpick if it comes clean otherwise bake for few more minutes.

Also, once your brownies are baked, let them cool completely before you try and slice them. They’ll crumble very easily when they’re still hot.

After it cools down completely, cut it in squares and serve with vanilla icecream.

Notes :

1. You may use aluminium foil for lining the baking tin.

2. If you try to slice the brownies immediately after they are baked, they may crumble, so allow it to cool completely.

3. For toppings you may use your choice of dry fruits or only walnuts in place of dried cranberries.
