Made with fresh mango puree, whole wheat flour and chocolate as main ingredients, these cookies are fruity, chocolaty and crispy, all these wonderful things you can find in every bite.
You won’t stop on having just one.
What’s special about these Mango Chocolate Cookies | Mango Cookies
If you ask me, what is so special about these cookies, here’s my answer. They remain good for days to come! The batter contains mango puree, which adds tropical taste.
It has a tiny touch of semolina and gram flour, which adds up the texture to the wheat flour dough. So when saw these shared on a FB group, I decided to give it a go.
Moreover, I adore recipes with fruit in them. Remember Mango ladoo and Mango semolina/sooji cake? These are one of my favourites.
The mango in today’s cookies recipe adds a bright color with fruity flavor. In addition to that, chocolate stuffed inside it adds the oomph factor and pairs really well.
What things to keep in mind when I bake these Cookies?
First and foremost, the cookie dough needs to chill for a few minutes before baking as the recipe calls for room temperature butter.
The butter used to make these cookies needs time to set to bind the cookie batter, which otherwise will spread if you would bake it right away.
Secondly, do not over bake these cookies. Keep an eye on it closely, and remove them once the edges appear light brown.
The centers will look slightly undone, but it will firm up once they cool.
