Nariyal Ladoo Recipe (Coconut Laddu), one of my favourite
Coconut in Hindi is called Nariyal is my favorite and i keep trying new recipes using coconut in some or the the other way.
So this laddu recipe is no exception which i am making since years and this time made for Raksha Bandhan festival.
The best thing about them is, they are easy to make ahead, bite sized, of course delicious and soft and melt-in-your-mouth!
Ingredients required to make Nariyal Ladoo Recipe (Coconut Laddu)
To make this laddu, you will need the following ingredients;
Dry Coconut halves :
I’ve used the dry coconut halves (1 full) and grated them at home. However dessicated coconut or freshly grated coconut also works well for this recipe.
Rock Sugar/ Mishri: I’ve used Rock Sugar or Mishri by powdering it in mixer jar. If it’s not easily available you may use regular granulated sugar or powdered sugar or jaggery also.
Ghee/Clarified butter: To roast dry nuts and desiccated coconut. You can also use an equal amount of coconut oil.
Milk: I preferably use full-fat milk. However you may use the milk of youe choice.
Nuts: My choice depends upon whatever is available at home. So it could be cashews, almonds, pistachios, Raisins, Melon seeds, Poppy seeds, Sesame seeds and dried Rose petals.
Cardamom powder: A must have to flavor these ladoos.
