Apple Pie Tiramisu (Eggless) | Recipe of Eggless Tiramisu | How to make Italian dessert Eggless Apple pie Tiramisu

It’s not a regular Tiramisu

Apple Pie Tiramisu (eggless) is a wonderful variation of classic Italian dessert Tiramisu. Originally the Ingredients used to make Tiramisu are coffee, eggs, whipped cream and mascarpone cheese.

Since I wanted to go for egg free Tiramisu, it was a challenge for me. Moreover i was having lots of Apples in my pantry, decided to make something very interesting but unusual from it.

While going through many receipes, this recipe of Apple Pie Tiramisu on blog Beyondfrosting caught my fancy. And once through reading it, i made up my mind to go ahead with it only

Eggless Tiramisu, my way

For making Apple Pie Tiramisu (eggless) I have made layers of eggless vanilla cake soaked in coffee rum decoction, Apple cider vinegar mousse, homemade apple pie filling and whipped cream with garnish of walnuts.

With slight variations in whipping cream flavour, and  due to non availability of Ladyfingers/Savoiardi biscuits, i have come up my version of Applepie Tiramisu. I hope you all like it.

For making eggless pudding I used readymade pack, which is mixed with mascarpone cheese.

To make mousse, i added Apple cider vinegar in the whipped cream for that zingy flavour. And instead of using Ladyfingers/Savoiardi biscuits, I have used vanilla sponge cake.

Go grab some fresh apples so you can make Eggless Tiramisu soon.

Freezing time : 8 hours

 

For the Tiramisu:

Coffee decoction – 1/2 cup

Rum – 2 tsp

Vanilla sponge cake 200 gms

Caramel sauce – 1/4 cup

Walnuts for garnish

Apple Pie Tiramisu Eggless

For Vanilla Pudding

Instant vanilla pudding ( i have used Harnic general brand ) – 1 pack of 90 grams
Cinnamon – 1/2 tsp
Milk – 1/2 liter

To make Vanilla Pudding :

Bring milk to a rolling boil.
In a bowl, mix Cinnamon and vanilla pudding powder. Pour this pudding powder to boiled milk and whisk until pudding mix is dissolved.

Refrigerate 10-15 minutes until firm.

Caramel sauce:

Butter – 50 gms
Brown sugar- 1 cup (200 gms)
Vanilla essence -1 tsp
Cream 1/2 cup (125 ml)

Put butter, brown sugar and vanilla essence in a saucepan. Stir over a low heat for about 5 minutes until melted and smooth. Remove from the heat. Mix in the cream until it is well combined.

To make Mousse

Heavy whipping cream- 1 cup
Apple Cider Vinegar- 1 spoon
Powdered sugar – 1/2 cup
Mascarpone cheese pack (i have used Philadelphia brand creamcheese)

Beat heavy whipping cream on medium-high speed. As whipped cream begins to get thick, add powdered sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. After that add Apple cider vinegar. Divide whipped cream equally in two bowls and set in the refrigerator.

Now beat the creamcheese on medium-high speed for 2-3 minutes, scraping down the bowl occasionally. Slowly add the pudding made earlier, to the cream cheese, and beat together to eliminate any lumps in the cream cheese.

Mix half of the whipping cream in the pudding mixture and fold well to combine. Your mousse is ready.

Apple Pie Tiramisu Eggless

To make Apple pie filling:

Ingredients
Apples, sliced – 3 medium sized
Lemon, juiced – 1/2
Honey – 2 tbsp
Sugar -2tbsp
All-purpose flour – 1 tbsp
Cinnamon – 1 tsp

Chop red apples into small cubes and squeeze  lemon juice over it.
On top of cubes apples sprinkle sugar, flour, honey and cinnamon. Stir nicely to mix everything.

Cook apples over medium heat for 15-20 minutes. Cover and cook till soft. Set aside and allow to cool.

Apple Pie Tiramisu Eggless

 

To build Apple Pie Tiramisu :

Layer the bottom of a pan with parchment paper. Spread vanilla sponge cake pieces cut into thick strips, like Ladyfingers/Savoiardi biscuits one by one. Slowly pour cofee-rum decoction over it.

Layer half the mousse on top of the cake and spread evenly. Now make a layer of apple pie filling and spread across the mousse, gently pressing it in.

Repeat the above steps to make atleast 3 layers. Top the tiramisu with remaining whipped cream. Right before serving, drizzle with remaining caramel and sprinkle some walnuts over it.

Enjoy with hot cup of coffee.
