This tea is made by using dried pomegranate peels powder which is added to boiling water for few minutes,  later on pomegranate juice is added, and sweetened with honey/sugar/maple syrup.

So simple right…

For Vegan options, you may add maple syrup.

Step by step instructions and pictorial presentation to make pomegranate peel tea recipe

Take the peel of one big sized pomegranate. I prefer the brighter red colour of pomegranate as it imparts beautiful colour to the tea.

 

Wash the peels thoroughly and sun dry these peels. It takes around 2 to 3 days. After that grind them to powder.

Now cut one pomegranate and remove dark red arils from it, make juice of it. Keep it aside

Now to make tea, in a pan heat water and add in 1 teaspoon of pomegranate powder. Bring to boil for 1 minute.

Remove it from the stove and allow to steep for 5 to 7 minutes.

To this add pomegranate juice. Stir well and strain the tea. Mix in the honey/Sugar/Maple syrup.
