Papad Paratha Recipe – quick and easy recipe :
Papad Paratha recipe is an interesting variety of paratha. We indians love to eat our fare share of Parathas every morning for breakfast.
This style of Papad Paratha is with a twist, where roasted papad is used as a stuffing. In this recipe, we stuff the savoury chapati/flatbread with roasted & crushed papad and other spices.
Generally it is served with curds and pickle on the side. It’s crisp outer cover and spicy-crunchy stuffing will make your taste buds sing with joy.
This is a very easy and unique recipe of paratha which can be made very quickly.
Papad an integral part of indian meal :
We being Sindhi’s Papad is regular at our place. Sindhi and Papad are inseparables. The thali looks incomplete without roasted or fried papad served on the side. in most indian homes papad is an integral part of cooking meals. In earlier days guests were welcomed with roasted papad and a glass of water in most Sindhi homes.
Today my kids were not in a mood to eat Regular Parathas for breakfast. I very well remember my Mom used to make these Parathe whenever we used to demand “make something different”.

Mooli/Raddish paratha
Recipe card :
- To knead namkeen paratha atta :
- 1 cup Wheat flour atta
- 1 tsp salt,
- 1 tsp cumin/ jeera
- 1 tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tsp ajwain
- 2 tsp oil
- For Stuffing :
- Roasted papads 3 no.
- 1 Onion choppedd finely
- 1 tsp Chat masala
- ½ tsp Garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Handful of Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 1 Green chilli chopped
- First make dough with the ingredients listed under namkeen/salty paratha dough . Give some rest to dough. Make big balls. Keep aside.
- For filling of parathas
- Roast papads. Crush with your palms. Mix onions & all above mentioned masalas.
- Now take that big dough ball. Roll it thick. Make impressions with ur finger tips. Brush some oil over fingertip impressions.
- Place onion filling over it in one corner.
- Start rolling it inwards like cream roll.
- Now cut into thick pieces ( like Bhakarwadi).
- Now roll again into small parathas.
- Seko/roast it how we make Parathas.
- Enjoy Hot, Crispy Masaledar parathas with Dahi/Green chutney/ cuppa of Chai/Cofee.
