Homemade chocolate bar, a unique gifting idea
On our recent trip to Switzerland we happen to visit the world famous Lindt chocolate factory and we could see how people are crazy about chocolates.
As my people who know me well or if you are a regular reader and follower of my blog, then you all must be knowing that I shy away from making regular run of the mill recipes.
Since I love to cook, bake and being foodie, my love for homemade things takes the front seat. From making Chocolates, pickles, cookies or cakes, I think it’s good to get creative in the kitchen instead of just buying something readymade from the stores.
Taste/flavour of Christmas, homemade chocolate bar
So this Christmas it’s decorative Chocolate bar that was on my to do list since a long time. The moment I saw this trending on social media that very moment I decided to give it a try.
I knew right away that one chocolate bar had to taste like Diwali, so I decided to use dark chocolate, candied fruits and nuts.
What fruits and nuts can I use?
Of course you can go ahead with your imagination and make your own recipe. Use dried and candied strawberries, oranges, cranberries, sapodilla, pineapple, blueberries, sunflower seeds and nuts or coconut flakes, biscuits, cake sprinklers. You can use whatever you like.
Use whatever dried fruit and nuts or biscuits you have in your pantry already. Just go along with your imagination and create a piece of an art to be relished by your loved ones.
Nuts I have used are pistachios, almonds, walnuts, pecans and cashews.
Dried candied fruits used are apricots, raisins, cherries, pineapple, mango and berries.
