This stovetop Eggless Biscuit Cake (without oven) features your favorite leftover biscuits (cookies) made in steel glasses without eggs, butter or condensed milk. In addition to that, it doesn’t require an oven or cake mould.

While going through my gallery,  i came across these pics of steel glass cake which i made during Pandemic.

So here I am, sharing this extremely simple, no fuss recipe with you all. I know you all must have made this cake using leftover biscuits and might be making now as well.

Eggless Biscuit Cake (without oven

This stovetop Eggless Biscuit Cake (without oven) features your favorite leftover biscuits (cookies) made in steel glasses without eggs, butter or condensed milk. In addition to that, it doesn't require an oven or cake mould.

Ingredients

  • 2 Packs nutri choice Biscuits 150 gms
  • 2 Packs Parle G Biscuits 200 gms
  • 1+1/2 Blue Packet Eno fruit salt (non flavoured) OR 1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp sugar or more as per taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 Cup or more Lukewam Milk to adjust the cake batter consistency

Instructions

  • Pre heat the heavy bottom pressure Cooker on the gas stove for 10 minutes on medium flame.
  • Here i have used my old Cooker to make this cake. Make sure to remove gasket and whistle.
  • Do not add water in the cooker. Just place some ring/plate at the bottom.
  • Prepare steel glasses by brushing some oil and then dust with flour. Shake off the excess flour.
  • To make the cake batter, take all the biscuits and sugar, grind them well in a mixer jar.
  • Add vanilla essence and milk. If required start adding more milk to form a smooth cake batter with ribbon consistency.
  • Remove this in a bowl, add Eno. Mix it well with rubber spatula.
  • Pour the batter in steel glasses till it reaches half and place them in pre heated cooker.
  • Now close the lid, cook on low flame for 25-30 minutes. Check if its done by inserting a tooth-pick in the center.
  • If it is not cooked, keep it for some more time. Once done, take the glasses out carefully, cool it and then transfer on wire rack.
  • Unmould and enjoy this with hot cup of Masala chai.

Notes

1.This cake can be baked in an Electric Oven - OTG also-
Pre-heat the oven at 180º C for 5 minutes then pop in the cake tin. Timing will be the same as mentioned in the recipe above.
2. This cake batter has to be immediately baked; do not keep it after adding Eno. Keep everything ready near to you
3. You may serve this cake with chocolate syrup, chocolate curls, grated chocolate, fruit syrup, nuts or cherries.
4. This cake can stay good for upto 2 days in an airtight container.

 

Step by step instructions and pictorial presentation to make Eggless Biscuit Cake (without oven)

Pour the batter in steel glasses till it reaches half and place them in pre heated cooker.

Now close the lid, cook on low flame for around 25-30 minutes. Check if its done by inserting a tooth-pick in the center.

If it is not cooked, keep it for some more time. Once done, take the glasses out carefully, cool it and then transfer on wire rack.

Unmould and enjoy this with hot cup of Masala chai.

 

Top tips

1.This cake can be baked in several ways:

Electric Oven – OTG
Pre-heat the oven at 180º C for 5 minutes then pop in the cake tin. Timing will be the same as mentioned in the recipe above.

2. This cake batter has to be immediately baked; do not keep it after adding Eno. Keep everything ready near to you

3. You may add slivers of dry nuts or Tutti Frutti.

4. You may serve this cake with chocolate syrup, chocolate curls, grated chocolate, fruit syrup, nuts or cherries.

5. This cake can stay good for upto 2 days in an airtight container.
