This vegan Kabuli Chana Salt Pepper is a great Protein packed evening snack. It’s darn easy and delicious snack. With soaking & boiling chana beforehand, it can be made in no time.
This particular snack/starter is my family’s favourite along with Papad katori chaat and, is made frequently at my place.

This is so so addictive that you’ll keep on munching it. Kabuli Chana Salt Pepper is a great evening snack. You can serve this as post workout snack or in party as a starter also.
A versatile recipe :
I have added green vegetables like capsicums and spring onions to balance the flavours and to trick my kiddos in to eating more of green vegetables.
You can add as many vegetables liked by your kids and family. Just stir fry these first, and add it to crunchy munchy snack.

Kabuli Chana Salt Pepper
Ingredients
Method
- Coat kabuli chana with cornflour and all purpose flour/ maida to which salt and red chilli powder is added.
- Next deep fry coated chana on high heat until it becomes crispy. Transfer on absorbent paper.
- In a kadai put oil. Add chopped garlic. Saute now add coarsely pounded peppercorns. Saute. Add chopped onions.
- Saute on high flame. Throw in chopped capsicums. Add salt. Now add deep fried chana. Saute on high flame. Add chopped spring onions.
- During this entire cooking process keep the flame on high, otherwise veggies would loose its crunchiness.
- Serve immediately with green chutney otherwise chana would turn soggy.
