Many a times it’s so boring to eat Salad everyday. On such days, this salad drink idea works the best. This recipe is called salad Drink | Spicy Salad juice as you can drink it for breakfast or lunch instead of eating a salad.

Moreover this is Gluten free, vegan, no cook, zero oil/ oil free recipe that can be made in minutes.

We call it a salad juice as instead of making salad we can juice it. A word of caution, don’t make it a habit, or do this all the time, as you would miss out on good fibre from the vegetables.

However this recipe works best for the days when you really don’t feel like eating, or when you are following a cleansing routine.

This cucumber, tomato, bell pepper and basil salad has all the filling fiber, is light on stomach and it’s easy to make.

So whip up this luscious juice & salad combination and you’ll wonder why you never thought of this before.

Instructions to make Salad Drink | Spicy salad juice

Clean, wash and peel the cucumber and cut it into cubes (save 1 piece for garnishing.)

Also cut tomato and capsicum in cubes. (save 1 piece for garnishing.)

Next, chop the red chilli and also roughly chop the basil leaves. Save some for garnishing.

In a juicer, pass through all the vegetables one by one. Transfer this into a bowl.

Now take 2 tall glasses. Put ice cubes in the bottom. Pour in the vegetables juice, then pour in orange juice, finally add lemon juice on top.

Garnish with chopped veggies like cucumber and tomato. Decorate with lemon wedge and basil leaves.

Serve and enjoy.

Notes :

Once your are through with juicing the salad, run the leftover pulp through juicer along with some water, one more time to get more out of vegetables.

  • Orange juice fresh/packaged 1 glass
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • Salt to taste
