Air fryer Beetroot chips Recipe, why beets?
So why I chose beets? Beets are good source of Vitamin C, high in fiber, low in calories, good for hemoglobin according to Healthline.
Moreover, they are so much healthier than potato chips.
My favorite way to enjoy beets is by swapping them in for other vegetables like potatoes, carrots, turnips, sweet potato or raw banana/plantains, when making homemade chips.
Simply thinly slice them, toss them with your favorite seasonings, air fry or bake them for 10–15 minutes at 200°C, and enjoy!
I have made these Beet Chips in my Philips digital Air Fryer & these are oh so delicious!
My favourite beet recipes
I extensively use beetroot in various recipes like –
Buckwheat flour Chocolate beetroot cake | Kuttu atta cake
Beetroot hung curd mini cheesecake
Beetroot Potato Pomegranate Raita | Beetroot Raita, but now I love munching those air fried beet chips with Tzatziki dip.

- Keep aside for a few minutes to crisp up some more.
- Repeat the process for another batch of chips.
- Serve with some pepper powder or chaat masala (optional) sprinkled over and Dip of your choice.
Notes
Taste best when made fresh! 5. Chips will get soggy if they are not eaten right away or stored properly. 6. To re crisp them, air fry for about 3 minutes. When they come out of the air fryer, they will still feel soggy, but after a few seconds, will be back to crispy

Important tip
You will notice difference in colour of my air fried chips, as for the first batch I made them at 170°C for around 10 minutes each side. They turned little dark but tasted good.
For 2nd batch I Air fried the beet chips on 160°C for 7-8 minutes on each side.
Notes
1. Beets will stain everything. To prevent that use gloves for cutting and chopping beets. Plus put a layer of plastic wrap over the counter top or use a big steel plate.
2. The cook time on these beet chips may vary depending on your air fryer brand.
3. Be careful not to over cook your beets. As soon as they are slightly crisp, remove them from the air fryer. They will crisp further once out of the air fryer.
4. Cook at lower temperature so that they do not burn on the edges.
