How to make Guacamole | Recipe of Guacamole

Guacamole is a Mexican dip recipe made using Avocado, onions, tomatoes, lemon juice, chilies and cilantro. It's a no cook, zero oil, vegan, gluten free, nut free, and dairy free recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Avocado ripened
  • 1 Lemon juiced
  • 1 Red onion small
  • 1 Tomato small and de seeded
  • 1 Green chili
  • Handful Coriander leaves
  • To taste Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder

Instructions

  • Slice one ripe avocados in half, remove the pit and scoop out the flesh into a bowl.
  • Then use a fork/spoon to gently mash avocado to your desired level of chunky or smooth consistency. Add fresh lemon juice and mix well.
  • In a bowl add diced red onions, tomato, green chilli, coriander, salt, red chili powder and mix together.
  • To this add mashed avocado. Stir and combine everything together. Taste the test and adjust lemon and salt accordingly.
  • That’s it. The most delicious, easy guacamole is ready to serve.

Notes

1. Avocado turns black very soon once it’s peeled. To avoid from it turning black, store it in an airtight container or wrap a cling film over it.
2. Serve the Guacamole immediately. If making a few hours ahead, wrap with cling film on the surface of the guacamole and press down to cover it to prevent air reaching it.
3. I would recommend that you add chopped tomatoes to your Guacamole just before serving as chilling tomatoes change their flavor profile.
