Ingredients

  • 2 Alphonso Mangoes Firm
  • 1 Onion medium size finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato chopped
  • 1/4 cup Mix bell peppers
  • 1 Green chili
  • 1/4 tsp Black salt
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
  • Coriander leaves and mint leaves for garnishing.

Instructions

  • To make this salsa, make sure that Mangoes you choose are firm.
  • I have used Alphanso mangoes. Dice the mangoes and keep them aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine diced mangoes, chopped onions, tomatoes, mix bell peppers, chopped chilies and chopped coriander leaves.
  • Add salt and lemon juice to taste. Mix well. Cover and let this sit in the fridge for 10-15 minutes for flavors to mingle together.
  • Remove, garnish with mint leaves and serve it with Nacho chips.

STORAGE SUGGESTIONS:

  • Let me assure you there won't be any leftovers. If so, you can store the salsa in the refrigerator, covered, for 2 to 3 days.
  • However I would suggest to make it fresh everytime.

Notes

1. You can choose any variety of mango but make sure it should be firm.
2. To give it a sweet and tangy flavor, add raw mango pieces to salsa.
3. You can add cucumber, boiled American corn kernels or pomegranate.
4. Feel free to add or omit any salad veges to this.
