Ingredients

  • 1 10 oz. Pack Fresh edamame
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1-2 teaspoon dry garlic coconut chutney

Instructions

  • Clean, wash and towel dry the fresh edamame beans. Meanwhile prepare a large pot with water for boiling.
  • Once it comes to rolling boil add fresh Edamame beans and steam them for 4-5 minutes.
  • Drain the water and keep it to cool.
  • In a heavy bottom skillet, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat. Once it begins to shimmer, add steamed edamame stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until pods take on some brown spots.
  • Next, add  sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, dry garlic coconut chutney powder tossing edamame until coated well.
  • In the last sprinkle roasted sesame seeds and serve hot.

Notes

1. The outer fibrous pod of Edamame is not edible, so always provide a discard bowl for your guests for those empty shells.
2. Edamame can be boiled, steamed, or microwaved prior to stir-frying
