Gravy for chicken Tikka masala :
Roast 5 large tomatoes on gas by applying oil on the outer surface. On high flame keep rotating tomatoes till they are roasted well.
After it cools down carefully peel them and discard the peels.
Puree them in a mixer jar or using a blender.
Heat butter+oil in the skillet, and add the ginger garlic paste.
Saute till light brown and the raw smell goes away and then add kashmiri chilli powder.
Since we don't use green chillies in this receipe, the amount of red chilli powder is on higher side. You may adjust the amount of spiciness as per your taste.
Stir and then add the tomato puree, salt and cashew paste. Cook well till the masala leaves oil. If required add little water for the gravy.
Bring it to rolling boil and add the honey, grilled chicken pieces. Then add the Kasuri methi. In the last, before switching off the flame mix in the cream. And garnish with corriander leaves and serve hot!!
What to serve with Chicken Tikka masala?
It tastes good with roti/chapati, however, choosing a delicious side will only elevate the dish even more.
We love eating this with steamed Basmati rice, lachha pyaz/onions, a dash of lime, and some Vegetable raita on the side
