The recipe for making fruit tart for fasting couldn’t be more simple and easier than this. This is loaded with fresh fruits, nuts and hung curd.

Ingredients
  • Rajgira/Amaranth popped 1 cup
  • Jaggery 3/4 cup
  • Hung Curd 1/2 cup
  • Honey 1 spoon
  • Lemon/orange zest ¼ tsp
  • Fresh Seasonal fruits strawberries, oranges, and kiwis.
  • Dry fruits & dry berries to decorate
Instructions
  1. First make hung curd by hanging the curd for 3 hours in muslin cloth.
  2. Let the excess water drain out. You hung curd is ready.
  3. Add 1 spoon honey to hung curd.
  4. Add ¼tsp lemon/orange zest to hung curd.
  5. Next melt the jaggery with some water in a non stick pan. Once it is melted add popped Rajgira to this and combine well.
  6. Put off the flame.
  7. Grease well the pie tin with melted butter/ghee.
  8. With help of a spoon spread  rajgira-jaggeey mixture on to greased pie tin.
  9. Spread hung curd with spoon on to rajgira tart.
  10. Chop the fresh fruits and dry fruits.
  11. Keep the dry berries handy in a bowl.
  12. For decorating the tart lay chopped fruits and dry fruits & berries in attractive way.
  13. Place this tart in the fridge for few hours.
  14. Remove from the fridge when you want to serve and cut the tart into pieces.
