What’s more refreshing than a chilled glass of any summer cooler like lemon iced tea to sip on.
If you have been following my blog, you’d know that I love Summer coolers.
Though Aam panna/Kachi kairi ka panna is one of my favourite and one of the highest viewed recipe on blog, this iced tea has become my hot favorite too!

Ingredients required to make Easy Lemon Iced Tea Recipe | How to make Iced Tea Recipe
To make this super easy iced tea recipe, you will just need –
↔️ Black Tea bags or tea leaves
↔️ Sugar or any other sweetner of your choice
↔️Lemon
↔️ Mint leaves
↔️ Boiling Water, to brew the tea
↔️ Baking soda

For tea bags
Bring water to boil in a saucepan. Once it boils, switch off the flame. Place the tea bags in the hot water.
Let it steep for 2-4 minutes, depending on how strong you like it.
Remove the tea bags, and stir in the sugar/Agave nectar, baking soda, and lemon juice.
Stir to dissolve and set it aside for later use once it reaches room temperature.
For tea leaves
If you are using tea leaves, then simply brew the tea leaves in hot water.
Let the tea brew for 2 to 5 minutes. Strain and stir in baking soda, lemon juice and sugar/Agave nectar.
How to serve
In a tall serving glass add in some chilled water, mint leaves, few ice cubes and some lemon slices/wedges.
Pour in the sweetened tea prepared earlier. Gently stir so that all the flavours are incorporate well.
Serve chilled garnished with mint leaves.
How to store any leftovers
1. To store any leftover lemon ice tea, remove sliced lemons, if any (it will make the tea bitter) in a glass bottle and store in the fridge for up to one week.
2. It’s also best to store the tea without ice to prevent it from getting watered down.

Why use Baking Soda in making iced tea recipes?
Baking soda eliminates the bitterness of the tea and gives it a much smoother taste.
It’s totally optional, but this is a traditional method in making sweet tea recipes like Kashmiri chai/Kashmiri pink tea.

- 6 Black tea bags or 6 tsp Black tea leaves
- 3 cups Boiling water
- 3 tablespoons sugar/ agave nectar adjust as per desired sweetness
